Plain English Summary

Fertility Express acts as an intermediary service. We coordinate medical testing through accredited laboratories and forward your results to your GP or fertility specialist. We do not interpret results — only your healthcare provider can do that.

  • If you’re unable to provide a valid sample, a refund or retest may be offered.

  • This service is not available to individuals under the age of 18.


Refund Policy and Service Guarantees

Money-Back Guarantee

  • You are eligible for a full refund within 30 days of purchase if you have not had your blood drawn.

  • After 30 days, we offer a credit note instead of a refund.

  • Refunds are processed within 48 working hours to your original payment method or as credit to your account.

Refunds After Sample Collection

You may receive a refund or free repeat test if your sample:

  • Is lost in transit

  • Is improperly stored

  • Is incorrectly collected and cannot be tested

We are not liable for any costs outside of our direct control, as testing is carried out by The Doctors Laboratory (TDL).


Express Results Guarantee

We guarantee to deliver your results on or before the stated number of working days for the longest test in your order.
If we fail to meet this timeline, you will receive a refund for the delayed test(s).
Refunds are processed within 48 working hours.

Turnaround Times

  • Working Days: Monday to Friday (excluding UK Bank Holidays)

  • Cut-off Time: 5 PM GMT

  • Example: A test taken on Wednesday before 7 PM with a 1-day turnaround is due by 5 PM Thursday

Tests sent to international labs or those requiring specialist processing may experience longer timelines.


Turnaround Expectations

We aim to release all test results from a single order at the same time.
Exceptions: Some tests, like Day 21 progesterone, may be delivered as soon as they are ready.

Please note:

  • We strive to meet turnaround times but delays can happen.

  • The express guarantee applies only to valid samples.

  • We are not liable for any consequences resulting from delays outside our control.


Results Delivery Process

When results are available from TDL:

  1. They’re uploaded to a secure portal.

  2. You receive a password-protected PDF.

  3. A confidential copy is posted to your designated GP or healthcare provider.


Why We Send Results to Your GP

  • Professional Interpretation: Only a medical professional can properly analyze your results.

  • Liability Limitation: Fertility Express is not responsible for interpreting medical data.

  • Continuity of Care: Your GP ensures that your medical records are updated and appropriate actions are taken.

  • Patient Safety: In case of critical or abnormal results, your GP can follow up promptly.


Sample Validity and Retesting

Invalid Sample Scenarios

Some samples may be invalid due to:

  • Insufficient volume

  • Deterioration during transport

  • Clotting or haemolysis (cell damage)

What Happens If This Occurs?

You may:

  • Receive a full refund

  • Or return for a free repeat test
    (You may not claim both)

Note: Sample invalidity may not be known until after testing.

What Are Critical Results?

These are results that show serious abnormalities, requiring urgent medical attention.

Our Response

  • We’ll attempt to contact you immediately via phone or email.

  • We’ll verify two unique identifiers before releasing results.

Important Notes

  • Fertility Express does not interpret critical results.

  • You must consult your GP for medical advice.

  • FE is not liable for how your results are interpreted or used.

We strongly advise contacting your healthcare provider immediately if your results are marked as critical.


Children and Minors

Fertility Express services are only available to individuals aged 18 and over. This restriction is in place due to:

  • Legal and Ethical Standards: Fertility testing involves complex decisions requiring informed adult consent.

  • Medical Guidelines: Most fertility assessments are designed for adults.

  • Safeguarding: Restricting services protects potentially vulnerable individuals.


User Eligibility Statement

By using our services, you confirm:

  3. You will not share your login or allow others to use your account

  4. You will not falsify your identity

  5. You are using the site for your own benefit only
